Purse Holder......tee hee hee!

I went over to my friend Laura's house and bought a purse holder from her. Laura and her family are getting ready to move to Kansas City and she didn't want to lug it with her so without hesitation I told her I would buy it. She said it even doubles as a coat holder. Wow, it's multi-functional....what a deal!
Honestly I am hoping that I don't end up using it as a purse or coat holder over time. I've decided that it's time to put a little effort foward and try to get in some sort of shape instead of round. I'm not in a hurry I just want to take it off one pound at a time and if it takes awhile then so be it! Happy weekend!

Probabilities...............

Well here I am; mother, wife, and a college student. I don't consider myself old (uhhhhm....40) but I have realized that I have put off college way too long! Im still working on my associates and I always joke around that I will finish my Masters in Elementary Education right around the time that I can apply for social security...lol I believe an education is important and it's something that nobody can ever take away from you so it's never too late! I was sitting in statistics class last night and was overwhelmed after 6 weeks with all of the terminology.....Mean and Standard deviation of a discrete probability distribution...Huh????? I just love the title of my statistics book "Understandable Statistics"....Arrrrrrrgh!

Happy Chinese New Year 2008!

2008 is the the year of the rat! We celebrated Chinese New Year by heading to downtown Portsmouth to the Children's Museum. The Museum had a few local Chinese artisans that wrote the children's names in Chinese symbols. They also had several other areas set up so the children could make simple crafts such as a Chinese lanterns. Kaiden had a great time running around to all the exhibits and being able to touch and play with everything! Right before we left we watched the traditional Chinese Dragon Dance which frightened Kaiden at first with the loud sound of the drum but he enjoyed seeing the Dragon move throughout the museum. It's hard to believe that Kaiden has been with us for almost 9 months and it certainly feels like he has always been part of our family! We look forward to spending many years with Kaiden celebrating Chinese New Year!
